A quick puttanesca
Decided to use up some ingredients in the cupboard and had a marvelous fusilli alla puttanesca this evening:
- boil water with some salt for the pasta
- heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a pan over medium heat
- add tin of anchovies (I had some Patagonia Spanish whites with garlic)
- cook the anchovies til they mostly dissolve (2-3 mins)
- add 1-2 tbsp capers and cook until they blossom (~1 min)
- add jar of marinara
- add pinch of red pepper flakes
- simmer the sauce while the pasta cooks
